LO2: Legal and Ethical Issues

 O B S C E N E    P U B LI C A T I O N S   A C T:

When creating your own magazine, this is an illegal act to publish content that may negatively influence on the readers and to make them feel offended when reading the magazine.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

The target audience of my magazine is at 18-30 year old, male and female. The audience may be influenced on my magazine by my revealing the different events of the wedding week and getting the audience having inspiration for the wedding and making their wedding planning less stressful.

Having a South Asian wedding and announcing it to others, people stereo type the relationship of the marriage and assuming it being an arranged marriage from the parents finding a partner for their child looking for a partner. I will challenge this by expressing that having a love marriage can be a benefit and most likely express your love with one another as because you were able to build up your relationship together before taking the big step by taking the relationship into marriage. Having a relationship will have pros and cons. A pro being that the marriage is coming from your parents as in they will have an understanding of which partner is best for you to develop your life with.

I will be taking with this the food, music and talking about coming together as 2 families. eye level shots, couple shots emphasising the idea of community, love and coming together.

Imaginary identity:

Adam is a 23 years old man who lives in Darnall, Sheffield who is in a serious relationship with his Girlfriend, Anaya who is 21 years old.

Adam is a business owner of a gold jewellery shop and his Girlfriend is a fashion designer. Both Adam and Anaya have already came to an agreement with both of their families for them both to get married and to now plan their dream wedding.

As they both have upbringings of living in a cultured Pakistani households and expecting to have multiple cultural events during their wedding week, they both find it difficult for ideas and inspiration for their wedding events.

In Adam and Anayas free time together, they both read magazines related to Pakistani weddings to receive ideas and inspiration for them to include on their dream wedding. Adam and Anaya hopes to wear the colours red and black on their main wedding day to continue with the traditional pathway as a Pakistani groom and bride, and wishes their find the perfect outfits.

Libel law in relations to a magazine is an oral/written statement with the intent to cause/harm damage to an individual's/company's reputation. Libel law is illegal to publish defamatory (harmful) content about a person or publish untrue information.

For this act, I will expressing how having high ends luxury cars, having a long heavy wedding outfits and an outstanding intricate wedding suit doesn't mean that your Baraat is outstanding. I will be using images of my brother's Baraat to not say it was the best Baraat anyone could ever have, I am adding images of my brother's Baraat to create inspiration for the audiences who are planning their wedding.

C O P Y R I G H T :

Allows producers of content to protect their intellectual property and for it not to be used without permission.

For my magazine, I will be using my own photos that I will capturing individual photos of the bride and groom. As an evidence of me capturing these images, i have made my two models of the bride and groom to sign release and consent forms for them both to give permission to be involved in the magazine.

Another example prove of me creating my own assets for my magazine is that i will be creating my masthead and making it more related towards my magazine. Another example is that i will be using my own cover lines and visuals and revealing that creating this magazine is all my work.

If I was to create an interview of magazine, i will be creating a transcript of the interview for my brother and his wife and interviewing them questions about their wedding day and asking them questions that everybody may want the answer to and to help them plan their wedding with the answers from them and how they pre-planned their wedding day making the day go smooth.

L A W S    O F    C O N T E M P T :

It is a criminal offence to publish content that poses a risk to justice in proceedings. Prevents magazines from publishing anything that is too sensationalist about a criminal case.

E T H I C A L    I S S U E S :

One ethical issue that I will have to keep in mind when creating a traditional South Asian wedding magazine is that I will have to ensure that there is an equality between genders, meaning that I will have to make sure male and female i.e, the bride and groom are presenting equally in the magazine.

Another ethical issue that is that I have respect for my models privacy and to ensure that they are entirely comfortable in being in my magazine. For me to achieve this, I will be creating consent forms for me to be able to receive permission from my models to see whether they are willing to be a part of my magazine.

The last ethical issue that I must be aware of making sure I show my respect for religions. I will have to ensure that my models and my articles are not violent and not any way of exploiting. I will have to ensure my models are presented suitably for my target audience and for me to ensure that I am respecting the religion.

LO: Sample materials: Mast head designs

My mast head ideas below are presented as the traditional colours of a Pakistani Asian wedding based on the colours that are worn by the bride and groom. Traditionally, the brides of a Pakistani wedding traditionally wear the colour red and the grooms either white, gold or black. Below are examples of my mast head presented in the same layout but different colours.

1)

This mast head below is presented using the colours black for the word 'The' and red for the word 'Baraat'. I have chosen these colours and these are the colours most worn by the bride and groom on the wedding day. The colour black connotes the imagery of it being dark and powerful, also revealing the idea of the groom of having royalty and standing out from the guests of how dark and noticeable the outfits are. The colour red in this I will be using is specifically burgundy red and that is the base colour of a traditional bridal outfit in our culture of weddings. The burgundy red connotes the idea of it being luxury and someone who is really ambitious. The colour burgundy symbolises the idea of someone being unique and creative and again of someone having power and standing out from the guests of having that dust of elegance and being the main characters and the heavy traditional detailing on both of the bride and groom outfits making them flashy and having all eyes drawn on to them. The fonts I will be using for the word 'The' is called Classy. The reason why I have chosen this font for the word 'the' for the mast head as because the mast head is revealing what the magazine will be about. 'The Baraat' is translated as to be the wedding but the word 'Baraat' means the grooms entrance of the wedding. I will be calling the Baraat as because this wedding was my brother's wedding and I will be illustrating the Baraat of his wedding day and this Baraat was really unique and creative and having lots of fireworks involved and smoke grenades, drum players and all luxury cars too. All of these elements is what makes a Baraat a Baraat. The font 'Classy' makes the word 'the' stand out and makes it look luxury and elegant which is what I want the house style of my magazine to be and it makes a outstanding introduction to my mast head of the word 'the' stand out and makes the audience of my magazine to be amazed and to think wow this is what you call a Baraat. Now for the font used for the word 'Baraat' is called Elegant. The reason why I have chosen this font is because I wanted the main word 'Baraat' to stand out the most on its front cover and I have done this by using an elegant cursive font. This word makes the word 'Baraat' pop out and makes it very classy and elegant as it is the main focus of this magazine.

The reason why I did not choose did mast head is because for my magazine I would like the base colour of the whole magazine to be a cool warm white/beige colour and having that aesthetic of light colours with a hint of that burgundy red. And the colour black in this mast head will throw off that aesthetic and because it's dark and it wouldn't be a good contrasting colour to go for.

2)

This mast head below is presented using the colours burgundy red for the word 'The' and a gradient of the colour pallet of gold for the word 'Baraat'. I have chosen the colours red and gold as because these are also the main colours worn by the bride and groom on the wedding day in the Pakistani culture. Most of the heavy intricate details on the brides outfit is presented in colour gold and the base colour of the outfit is burgundy red. For the groom the outfit can be a warm white colour with gold intricate detail which I will be using as my base colour as because the colour warm white connotes the idea of simplicity, elegant and professional. And for the colour is self explanatory as because the use of the intricate details on both of the bride and grooms outfits are the colour gold which connotes the idea of success, elegant, rich and someone who has power. The fonts used for the word 'the' is called 'Classy'. The reason as both is because it makes a strong and a solid introduction to the magazine introducing that the Baraat in the magazine will amaze the target audience thinking wow this what you call a Baraat and that Baraat was this Baraat and that is why the mast head is called 'The Baraat'. Again explained above, the fireworks, the smoke grenades, the drum players is what makes a Baraat. And the font 'Classy' makes the mast head look neat and tidy having that simplicity and elegance which is what my goal is to create this magazine. For the word 'Baraat' I have changed the font to 'Deluce'. I have chosen the font 'Deluce' for this style of mast head as because it creates the idea of it being classy and elegant at the same time and it also looks very professional and simplicity which is what my I am wanting the house style of the magazine to look like and I am wanting that elegancy and simplicity vibe. For the word 'The' I have chosen that to be the colour burgundy red as because I would like that to show very small and having not as a huge text colour as in having it flash out in the audiences vision as because the text will be in the colour white with a burgundy colour banner and box for huge text and the colour gold will be used for the sub headings so that it will be visible straight away and will have attention to the audience as how much bold of a colour gold is. And for that reason, I will be having the word 'Baraat' in the colour gold as because I would like that to be the first visible word to the target audience when they view the front cover as because the mast head title is the subject of the magazine.

The reason why I didn't go for this mast head is because the font used for the word 'Baraat' didn't make it stand out as much as I wanted it to. Although it did look classy and elegant, I just wanted the word 'Baraat' to stand out the most and make it be the first noticeable word the audience. Which is why I stuck with the cursive font used in my final design below.

3)

This mast head design is the chosen on that I will be using for my magazine. From the previous mast head, I have kept with the colours burgundy red and the colour gold as because the colour burgundy red is obviously the traditional colour worn by the bride on the wedding day and also the groom will also wear hints of red as a tradition of the wedding day too. And for the colour gold is because the intricate heavy details on both the bride and grooms outfits will be covered in gold. The colour burgundy red connotes the idea of it being luxury and someone who is really ambitious. The colour burgundy symbolises the idea of someone being unique and creative and again of someone having power and standing out from the guests of having that dust of elegance and being the main characters and the heavy traditional detailing on both of the bride and groom outfits making them flashy and having all eyes drawn on to them. And the colour gold connotes the idea of success, elegant, rich and someone who has power. The fonts has been switched around for the final design of my mast head, for the word 'The' I have kept the initial idea of it being the font 'Classy' as because it makes the word 'the' stand out and makes it look luxury and elegant which is what I want the house style of my magazine to be and it makes a outstanding introduction to my mast head of the word 'the' stand out and makes the audience of my magazine to be amazed and to think wow this is what you call a Baraat. And for the word 'Baraat' I have kept that font being Elegant.  The reason why I have chosen this font is because I wanted the main word 'Baraat' to stand out the most on its front cover and I have done this by using an elegant cursive font. This word makes the word 'Baraat' pop out and makes it very classy and elegant as it is the main focus of this magazine. And because of this reason, the colour gold completed its look.

LO1: Proposal

P R O P O S A L:

P U R P O S E :

The purpose of my magazine is to inform new couples who are planning their wedding day in the South Asian community on what a Baraat looks like. There will be a page in my magazine which will be dedicated towards the new couples planning on their wedding and I will be providing tips and tricks that will benefit them on their wedding day so that they are prepared. My magazine will also have a purpose of entertaining its target audience by illustrating the different events that took place days before the main day and providing details of what takes place during each of these events.

F O R M   A N D   G E N R E :

For this Unit I will be making a magazine introducing a niche audience as it's not typically found in a magazine selling market. The genre of my magazine will be a South Asian Pakistani wedding magazine based on my brother's wedding hence on the reason of it being called 'The Baraat'.

F R O N T   C O V E R :

On the front cover of my magazine, my mast head will be displayed the very top of my magazine with the word 'THE' be presented in the font 'Classy' in burgundy red in small text and the word 'Baraat' in the font 'Elegant' with a clipping of a soft subtle colours of gold in big text so that it attracts its target. Both of the fonts of my masthead will be in serif font as because I would want it to look elegant and more outstanding with creativity. The colours burgundy red connotes elegance, rich and having power. the colour gold also connotes the idea of being rich, valuable, classy and elegant. In the middle of my front cover I will be adding a main cover image of the bride and groom that I had taken outside of my house on the road when they had came back from their wedding. This picture will be the bride and groom doing a 'walk away' shot in which I had told them to pose, as it connotes the idea of a happy ending of their wedding day and that its all over and they leave as the wedding as an official couple. In the middle of the bride and groom picture pose, I will be adding cover lines, 'The Wedding Story Of...' in the colour white and the font also being 'Classy'. This will be followed with the "K AND T" and the bottom of the page in the colour white and in the font 'Classy Vogue' as because the colour white connotes the idea of it being classy and simplicity and it makes everything look neat. On the right side, next to the image of the bride, on the image I will be adding 'THE ideal guide for a bride and groom'. I will be using the font 'Impact' for the word 'THE' ad in the colour white and I will be adding a rectangle banner for the word 'ideal' in the colour burgundy red with the word 'ideal' written in the font 'Classy' in the soft subtle colours of gold used for the mast head. This is because I would like the gold text to be stood out against the burgundy red rectangle banner. Underneath where it will say 'for a bride and groom', I will be writing that in the font 'Cochin' in the colour burgundy red. This is because I will like all of my body text in my magazine in the font 'Cochin' because I will like it to stand out but also to have simplicity, elegance and minimalistic into it.

At the bottom in the middle, I will be adding in large text 'K AND T' in the font 'Classy Vogue' in the colour white. The colour white and the font 'Classy Vogue' connotes the idea of it looking neat, professional and simplicity. Underneath the 'K and T' I will be add a rectangle banner in the colour burgundy red and I will be writing their names 'K A L E E M   A N D   T H A I B A' also presented this way as the letters being spread out in the colour again a soft subtle colours of gold and the font in 'Classy'. This is because I will like their names to be presented in a shine of elegance as they are the main characters in this magazine as because 'The Baraat' is about them. At the bottom on the page, I will be including cover images framed with a gold border around of the images representing a main highlight of each event that lead to the main day which is 'The Baraat'. This is because it will connote the idea of each of the events leading up towards the wedding were all important as their own. I will be putting images of the different events on the magazine as because these events are traditionally and taken place during a South Asian wedding week and I will be talking about each of these events in my magazine and to explain what each event are about and what goes down during each event. Underneath the images, I will be adding a burgundy rectangle banner with the text mentioning the names of the events. The text will be written in the font elegant in the colours of the soft subtle gold.

C O N T E N T S   P A G E :

My contents page will be presented as a double page spread. This is because I would like to reveal some of my best photos in which I had taken of the bride and groom on that page from their wedding day. On the left hand page, will be the start of the contents page. At the top of my magazine on the left hand side at the top, I will be adding my mast head logo 'The Baraat" as it being a banner with the same fonts and colours used as the mast head. I will be adding the mast head at the top of the page to connote the  use of synergy throughout my whole my magazine allowing my magazines name to be presented on every page so that the readers will know the brand name of my magazine. The banner will be a white rectangle. I have chosen the colour of the rectangle to be the colour white because it connotes the idea of it being simple, elegant and simplicity. The banner with my mast head on it will be on top of a large dominating image of the bride and groom again taken outside of my house of them both holding a dove in their hands. My brother and his wife holding their doves to throw that I had captured, connoting the idea capturing love between the couple and capturing a special moment between the two of releasing doves out of their hands on their wedding day. This image will be placed at the top of the left hand page and will be cut off in the middle of the page. Underneath the image, I will be adding the title 'C O N T E N TS' also presented in a way of each letters being spread out. The text will be in the colour of the soft subtle colours of gold in the font 'Classy'. Having the text in a soft subtle gold colour and in the font 'Classy' will connote the idea of it being luxury and eye opening towards the viewers, making them want to look at the page and to have interest in knowing what the whole magazine will be about. This is because I would like the title of that page to stand out so that it will be obvious to the readers that its a contents page where you will be able to find out what page is about what. Underneath the title 'C O N T E N T S' I will be adding a rectangle border frame in the colour burgundy red. Having the border frame in colour burgundy red connotes the look of the traditional colour worn on South Asian weddings by either the groom or bride emphasizing the look of my whole magazine to be traditional and cultural, making the South Asian community wanting to read the magazine and to receive ideas and inspiration for their wedding. This is because I want the content title of the page to pop and to stand out. Underneath the title, I will be adding again the main images of the highlight of each event that lead towards 'The Baraat' framed with a thin rectangle gold border around the images. I will be add 6 squared images as there will be 6 topics I will be talking about in the magazine. On top of the images, I will be adding the page numbers in the font 'Classy' in the colour white so that they stand out against the images. 3 images will be spread on the left hand page and the other 3 will be followed along in a straight line on to the other page. Or I would how many square images of the left side of the page and the remaining on the right hand page leaving space for an image of the bride on the bottom right of the page.

On the right hand side of the page, I will be adding some images that I had taken of the bride and groom. The groom and the brides image is a close up more focusing on the outfits they wore on the wedding day. The grooms image will be presented on the top left of the page, with a burgundy red square that goes underneath the image and the brides image will be presented on the bottom right of the page again with a burgundy red border frame that goes underneath the image. And in the space at the top right and the bottom left, I will be adding the details for each page that's going to be in my magazine. I will be adding the page numbers too and then a short teaser description of each page. The page numbers and the teaser description will both be in the colour burgundy red. The font for the numbers will be in the font 'Classy' so that it matches the font of the numbers that are the image on the left hand side page. The short teaser description will be in the font 'Cochin' but, the main key word of that short teaser description will be in the font 'Impact'. This is because I would want a reaction coming from the target that when they see that one from each description they would be thrilled to be wanting to read it.

D O U B L E   P A G E   S P R E A D :

The first page of my magazine will be a double page spread. On the left hand page of the double page spread revealing my first page of my magazine, I will be presenting a large dominating image at the top half cut in the middle of the page, but the large dominating image will be cut between two separate images of the bride and groom on the very first event which is called the 'Rishta'. The image on the left will be an image of the bride and groom in which I had taken of them both cutting their cake after the agreement of the marriage from the groom asking for his hand of the marriage and to take in account and to talk to the brides father and let him know how great of a husband he will be for his daughter and how well and protected she will be living with him. The image of the bride and groom cutting their cake connotes the idea of them both developing their new life together as a couple and starting their way to now doing things together and to build their loving and happy relationship. The image on the right will be both of the bride and groom again on the 'Rishta' day being told by me to do a pose of whichever they would like to do. I have done this to connote the idea for them both to have freedom and joy and to express their own character and to do a pose they wish to do. Both of the images I have captured are mid shot photos. I have done this so that the readers of the magazine to have more of a closer view of the bride and groom to have a clear of the emotions between them both. In the visualization diagram, I have written "K & T  RISHTA" to look as if it's going to be presented on top of the images, but I have changed my mind. I've decided to do banner in the middle of the page in the colour of a rich colour of teal. The text will be formatted in the font 'Classy Vogue' in the colour white. I have chosen this font and colour because it connotes the idea of it being elegant and also classy and simplicity. The reason I have decided to have the text on top of the images is because I would like the images to be stood out also along side with the text. Underneath will be a rectangle box in the colour of the banner in the middle. The text will be the day of the 'Rishta' and what happens on the 'Rishta' day. The text will be in the colour white and in the font 'Cochin'. This is because I would like the text to stand out and to have simplicity and for it to be minimalistic. On the bottom left of the pages, I will be presenting my mast head to create synergy to have that repetition of the brand throughout my magazine and to keep informing to the readers on which brand magazine they are reading so that it will be easily recognized.

On the right hand side of the double page spread, I will be adding a large dominating image in which I had taken of the bride and groom on their engagement day which I captured this image outside of my house. The image will be illustrating a twirling pose that will be cut off half way from the page. The image that I captured for the twirling pose will be a wide angle shot. This is because I would like the readers to see a clear vision of the whole pose of the couple and the outfits worn by both the bride and groom. Underneath the image, will be a title of the page 'KALEEM WEDS THAIBA' I will be writing this in two different fonts. This text will be in the middle of the right page of the double page spread. I would like this to be illustrated on both of the pages because I would like to connote the idea of the readers to always remember the names 'Kaleem' and 'Thaiba' as because they are the main and the important models of the magazine. Their names will be written in the font 'Classy Vogue' and the word 'WEDS' will be in the font 'Classy' both in the colour white. This text will be presented as a banner will the base colour of the banner being a dark beige so that it contrasts best with the base of my magazine. And then underneath that title on the bottom left of the page, I will be adding another photo of the bride and groom in which I had taken on their engagement. On the bottom right of the left hand side page, I will be adding a rectangle box with a description of the story of Kaleem and Thaiba. The colour of the rectangle box will be the same colour that was chosen for the banner used for 'KALEEM WEDS THAIBA' that will be be presented in a straight line in the middle of the double page spread. I have chosen this colour because I would like it to contrast best with the base colour of my magazine. The text inside of the rectangle box will be the story of 'Kaleem and Thaiba', telling the love story between them both and how they met. The text will be written in the font 'Cochin' and in the colour white. This is because I would like the text to stand out and to have simplicity and for it to be minimalistic.

C A M E R A   S H O T   T Y P E S   A N D   A N G L E S :

For the camera work of my magazine, I will be capturing mainly medium close ups and wide shots of my models on their cultural wedding events. I will be taking medium close ups of the models with different poses such as the head on the chest, the groom kissing the forehead of his bride, because it connotes the impression of power, love and security between the couple. I have decided to focus of medium close ups as an option for me to capture of my models as because I want to ensure that I have some images captured that focuses really well on the heavy intricate detailing on the traditional outfits that my model have worn on their wedding events on my magazine pages.

For wide shots, I will be capturing my models by presenting a "twirling shot". Capturing a wide shot for the twirling shot is best way to capture the moment. This is because, not only the wide shot captures the happiness and unity between the couple, but it also captures the flowing intricate detailed traditional dress, creating a regal and elegant shot. Not only the pose of the couple, but I will also be able to present the location of shot of when I was capturing the wide shot. The location was in a local public park in which I wanted to present a lot of green and nature to create a subtle emotion between the setting of the shot as well as the pose of the couple in the image, allowing me to be able to create a meaningful story behind the image towards my audience who will be interested in reading my magazine 'The Baraat'.

M A R K E T I N G   A N D   D I S T R I B U T I N G :

For marketing and distributing 'The Baraat' magazine, the locations I will be distributing my magazine will be very uncertain based upon the magazine targeting niche audiences. However, I have found methods that I will be using to make sure the niche audience for my magazine will be targeted efficiently.

The first method I will be using to ensure that I will be able to reach the target audience that I will be needing for my magazine is that I will be using below the line advertising. I will be doing this by creating a social media platform such as TikTok and Instagram to ensure that I receive the most of the audience attention to my magazine. I have chosen TikTok and Instagram to advertise my magazine as because they are the best platforms to advertise a product and to be able to reach out to your target as you are able to capture images and videos to reveal your product to your audience by presenting finer details. However, as TikTok videos can be used for people out of the my local area which is Sheffield, so what I will do for TikTok is that I will be making content videos but only targeting my audience who are in Sheffield and then maybe extend the target to the outskirts of Sheffield and to extend to more cities such as Rotherham, Bradford, Manchester, Birmingham etc. I will not be using above the line method to advertise my magazine as because if I will be presenting prints for my audience to see, there will be no point and would not do any justice as because for places around Sheffield such as showroom and the crucible, people in my niche audience are not around that area as because it isn't tended for them to be around there. My target is more for the south Asians, for them to receive ideas and inspiration for their wedding planning.

I will be creating synergy throughout my magazine by adding my masthead in small at the bottom of the page. This is because I would like my niche audience to be reminded throughout they read my magazine and to instantly have the thought of my brand so that when they see it my masthead for a quick instance they will immediately know what its about. Also, the social media platforms as in for both Instagram and TikTok, the house style will all remain the same and will be the same as my magazine. I will be using the text colours, similar fonts, images used etc. This is because again, I will my brand to have that repetition throughout it all and to be easily recognized.

To distribute my magazine, I am thinking to putting it in to Arshad Textiles which is located in firth park. Arshad Textiles is another example of using below the line marketing. This is because Arshad Textiles is a non franchise which also targets the niche audience my magazine will also target. Arshad Textiles is a shop which targets the south Asian community in Sheffield in which they get their cultural clothing from. Arshad Textiles is a good shop for my magazine to be distributed as because it will be perfect for my magazine too as they both target the same niche audience and the customers at Arshad Textiles will be interested in picking up my magazine as they will easily relate to my magazine and to retrieve inspiration from. Maybe the younger audiences in their teens may be interested in picking up my magazine as it is something that fits in the culture and you don't see much magazine which will relate to the same genre that I have chosen. Not only that, they may be interested to see what my magazine will be about and to see if the 'baraat' was worth reading.

I would like my magazine to be sized A4. This is because as mentioned that there aren't many topics of magazines that fits in the same genre as my magazine as its a niche target, I would like it to be a large decent size and to present the the layout of each page of the magazine to stand out and to look neat and classy. If I had chosen A5, I think the page layouts will look quite cramped, which I would not like as because I would like my pages to be big and not only that, it wouldn't stand out the way I would like to stand out, I would like to stand out and to be noticeable to the niche audience and for them to be euphoric when they see a magazine that they will be interested in actually picking up and reading from and actually seeing a magazine that represents their culture in which you do not see as much South Asian related magazines around as because the audience is niche.

For the hardware that I will be using during the production of my magazine are either a Canon DSLR camera or my iPhone, depending on which camera quality is better to capture of my models on their events, and making the images captured of my models to look magazine worthy and that will appealing to my target audience.

SPECIFICATION :

I used the website specle.net to find out the dimensions I needed for the pages such as the front cover, contents page and the double page spread to create my magazine.

I have decided to keep the pages of my magazine traditional by using conventional sizing that is used by other magazines. I have decided to keep my magazine also as A4, as it is traditionally the same size as other magazines as because I would like my magazine to be portable and easy to carry as because it will be distributed in many South Asian fabric/accessory shop such as Arshad Textiles and as well being distributed in local areas such as The Showroom in Sheffield as because there will be a lot of cultures who may be interested in reading my magazine targeted on a South Asian wedding event.

If a company was to advertise a full 210mmx297mm page of my magazine such as the front cover, I will be charging £230. I have chosen to charge this price for my front cover as because it provides the highlights of what my magazine will be about, as well as presenting the main models such as the bride and groom dressed in their traditional South Asian wedding attire.

I will be also charging £750 for a company to advertise a double page spread of my magazine as because it provides a lot of details as well as written articles of the different key events towards the main day (The Baraat). Also, a DPS is an A3 size page, meaning a lot of production work will be going into work to provide an excellent high quality double page spread.

I will be charging a cheaper option for a half page vertical of my magazine at a price of £120 as because it will show limited details of my magazine, allowing the audience to be able to see a little glance of the content my magazine tends to reveal. However, I will be charging £150 for a half page horizontal of my magazine to be advertised. I have decided to make it a little more higher than a half page vertical page as because a half page horizontal will be have more details of my magazine than a half page vertical advertisement will have.

I would like my magazine to be advertised by venue companies e.g. The Grand, photography/videography companies e.g. Moazzamalifilms and South Asian Fashion wear companies e.g. Zeeshan Danish. This is because these companies will be beneficial towards my target audience as it perfectly aligns well with the genre of my magazine which is a South Asian Wedding magazine. I also have added a promotion for my magazine in which one of my audiences are able to receive a £5000 voucher in which they will be able to use to hire a photographer and a videographer for their dream wedding.

The circulation goal of the 'The Baraat' magazine, will be at least 1500 copies to be distributed yearly in which I will be able to distribute 125 copies, per issue of my magazine 'The Baraat' for every 12 months of the year. For the price of my magazine to be sold towards my audience will be £7.99 as because it was the in which I received as an option from my audience on how much they will be willing to afford for my magazine. It the sale does go successfully, I will be doing 6 issues for the next following year, and to able to have at least 250 copies for 6 months and will be increasing the cost of my magazine to be £10.00, in order for me to reach high in profits and to increase my target audience for my magazine, in which I will be selling a high quality magazine at a very affordable price for my audience in which they will be able to use to receive ideas and inspiration to when they plan their wedding events. This will be beneficial as because there are a lot of events to plan and to coordinate, to ensure it is perfect.
